McManis Faulkner Boosts Female Partnership

SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA - January 2012

McManis Faulkner, a leading Northern California trial firm, announced the elevation of Christine Peek and Pallie Zambrano to partner.  Boosting the firm’s majority female partnership ranks, the elevations bring the total number of partners to the firm to 12.

“The elevation of Chrissy and Pallie are well deserved.  Not only are they excellent trial lawyers, they have demonstrated exemplary leadership at the firm and in the community,” said James McManis, head of McManis Faulkner.  “With the addition of their in-depth legal knowledge and superior client service to our partnership, we are poised for continued success in 2012.”

Peek practices general civil litigation with a focus on constitutional law and lawsuits against government entities.  Since beginning her practice in 2004, she has successfully litigated issues in a wide range of cases stemming from business regulation, privacy, campaign finance, lobbyist regulation, public employment, selective enforcement, illegal search and seizure, to excessive force disputes. Peek has also defended clients against business tort claims, such as trade secret misappropriation and unfair competition.

An active member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association, Peek currently serves on its appellate courts committee.  She earned her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law (2004) and her B.A. from San Jose State University (2000).

Zambrano, an attorney with the firm since 2008, represents family law clients seeking restraining orders, property division, and custody and support issues.  Experienced in civil litigation, she has also litigated medical malpractice cases, punitive damages and limitations on general damages.

Zambrano is the co-president of the Northern California chapter of The Pajama Program, a non-profit group that collects new books and pajamas for children in need.  She also serves on the boards for the Santa Clara County La Raza Lawyers Association and the La Raza Lawyers Charitable Foundation.  Zambrano earned her J.D. from the Santa Clara University School of Law (1999) and her B.A., cum laude, from Santa Jose State University (1994).
