Melanie practices Family Law with compassion, intelligence, and pragmatism.

Before joining the firm, Melanie worked at a family law clinic where she met with clients, drafted declarations, motions to compel, and settlement offers. She has experience helping survivors of domestic violence navigate their legal options and has presented at family law conferences about how to make the courtroom experience safer for survivors.

Melanie also interned for The Department of Homeland Security, Transportation Security Administration where she gained valuable experience writing motions, taking depositions, and conducting witness interviews.

    Melanie volunteered as a student teacher for inner-city youth in Los Angeles elementary and middle schools, providing instruction in language arts, science and history.  She also was an instructor for the Springlight Education Institute, teaching SAT and ACT preparation courses for high school students.
