Christine Peek speaks at the California Lawyers Association Litigation Summit

2020 Litigation and Appellate Summits

On October 13, Christine Peek spoke at the California Lawyers Association 2020 Litigation Summit, about E-Discovery ethics during litigation.  Christine was joined by panelists Michelle Calloway (Cooley LLP) and Mark Michels (Santa Clara University).  They discussed how and what attorneys need to understand about electronic-discovery issues, focusing on electronically stored information (“ESI”).  In addition to discussing ethics opinions issued by the ABA and State of California, Christine and her fellow panelists provided practical advice about complying with disclosure rules, working with clients on their ESI practices and procedures, preparing for meet and confer sessions on e-discovery, and protecting the client from inadvertent production and potential waivers of privilege.
