McManis Faulkner, a leading Northern California trial firm, announces that Partner Elizabeth Pipkin was honored by the YWCA of Silicon Valley with a Tribute to Women and Industry (TWIN) Award. In its 27th year, the TWIN Award is one of the nation’s most prestigious awards given by local and regional YWCAs. Established to pay tribute to women in business, the TWIN Award recognizes successful women executives for their outstanding achievements and demonstrates the esteem in which companies hold their women executives. Honorees represent a cross-section of Silicon Valley companies, including those in the technology, legal, communications, non-profit and healthcare industries.
“Taking on some of our largest and toughest cases, Elizabeth is an outstanding trial lawyer and deserving of the YWCA’s TWIN Award. The honor is reflective of her in-depth legal expertise and client service – knowledge that she passes on as the head of our firm’s associate training group. Elizabeth grooms our younger lawyers on how to prepare for trial and to be successful before judges and juries. We are proud to have Elizabeth on our team and pleased to have her efforts recognized,” said firm founder and name partner, James McManis.
Pipkin represents Fortune 500 companies, closely held businesses, charitable institutions, and individuals in a range of trial work, including IP disputes, securities fraud claims and personal injury cases. In addition to her practice, she heads the firm’s associate training group and serves on the board of trustees of the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley, the largest provider of free legal services for those in need in Silicon Valley. Pipkin received her J.D. from Harvard Law School (2001) and her B.A. from Brigham Young University (1998).
