Juan is experienced in business, criminal, and immigration law.

He previously represented corporate clients in matters involving business litigation, domestic and international tax, and mergers and acquisitions, as well as IRS audits. He is adept in drafting transaction documents and purchase agreements, motions, legal research, and responding to discovery requests. As a former advocate in Stanford Law’s Criminal Defense Clinic, Juan interviewed witnesses and appeared in courts across Santa Clara and San Mateo counties. He was also a volunteer in Stanford Law’s Immigration Pro Bono Project, where he assisted visitors with various immigration matters. Juan interned with Human Rights First’s Refugee Reputation Team, conducting client intake interviews and drafting briefs.

With his multicultural background, Juan is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and French. He is well traveled, and he has lived in several countries before settling here in the Bay Area.
