James McManis was invited by the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) to come to China and lecture officers about the role of counsel, prosecution, and defense in U.S. criminal cases. He covered their duties as attorneys, both in theory and in practice. MPS is responsible for law enforcement in the Peoples’ Republic of China. The lectures took place in Suzhou and Beijing.
