The Practice Program for the Northern District of California held a symposium on civil practice issues. Partner Elizabeth Pipkin helped coordinate the panels of practitioners and professors. One panel discussed the science behind implicit bias and its impact on jurisprudence, another panel explored the skills and knowledge necessary to address implicit bias in the courtroom. The event was held in San Francisco. Elizabeth serves on the Board of Directors of the Northern District Practice Program.
