Dark Money, a political thriller, examines one of the greatest present threats to American democracy: the influence of untraceable corporate money on our elections and elected officials. Ann Ravel, subject in the film, was an honored invitee to the opening night of the Santa Cruz Film Festival and took part in the Q & A session after the screening. Ann served as Democratic Commissioner on the Federal Election Commission, an independent regulatory agency created by Congress to administer and enforce campaign finance.
