Ann Ravel, Candidate for State Senate District 15, led a discussion on civic engagement at the 8th Annual Women Lawyers’ Symposium hosted by the Santa Clara County Bar Association. She addressed the issues of how women can be more civically engaged and the challenges faced by women running for office. She covered what women can do to make the changes in society that are needed given the outpouring of support for Black Lives Matter protests and the acknowledgement of systemic racism and economic inequality in our country and state. The event was held virtually via Zoom.
