Government Files Redacted Version of Court’s Full Decision

February 06, 2014

The U.S. government filed a redacted version of the Honorable William H. Alsup’s full Findings of Fact, Conclusions of Law, and Order for Relief, following a court order finding that the government failed to meet its previous deadline to do so.

On January 14, 2014, Judge Alsup issued a public summary of his 38-page decision in Ibrahim v. Department of Homeland Security, et al., concluding that the U.S. government violated the due process rights of Dr. Rahinah Ibrahim.  The full decision was lodged under seal and made available only to the parties’ attorneys until the government filed a redacted order today.  The judge’s full decision, without redactions, will become public on April 15, 2014, unless the government obtains an order to the contrary from a higher court.
