Firm Ranked Tops for Seventh Consecutive Year Among “Top Small Workplaces”
For the seventh consecutive year, McManis Faulkner has been named to the Bay Area News Group’s “Top Workplaces in the Bay Area.” The firm ranked in the top five in the “Top Small Workplaces” category.
“The continuous honor as a ‘Top Workplace’ is a result of our team sharing the best of themselves and providing the best possible service,” said James McManis, head of McManis Faulkner.
The Bay Area News Group “Top Workplaces” selections are based on survey information collected by Workplace Dynamics. Rankings for the survey were composite scores calculated on the basis of employee responses to a range of questions regarding workplace satisfaction, including company leadership, compensation and training, diversity/inclusion, career development, family-friendly flexibility, and values and ethics.
In the employee surveys, the firm was applauded for caring about the individual while creating an amazing team. The surveys also recognized the firm’s strong support for the professional advancement of attorneys and staff and for making employment for both groups fulfilling, both professionally and personally.
Composed primarily women lawyers and with employees from diverse backgrounds, McManis Faulkner embraces each individual and that person’s unique experiences and perspectives. The firm fosters an environment where everyone is part of the team and is treated with respect for the contributions they make.
In receiving the ranking, McManis Faulkner was also praised for its commitment to giving back to the community. With the firm’s full support, its attorneys and staff work with many local organizations and participate on the boards and committees of a wide array of non-profits.
McManis Faulkner also believes in developing trial skills, assigning substantive and meaningful work to younger attorneys, and providing rich opportunities for all to gain experience, confidence and recognition. In addition, the firm has a true “open door” policy, whereby all employees have regular access to senior staff members who enjoy coaching those newer to the profession. The firm also offers professional development seminars and mentoring programs and hosts alumni events and organizational meetings.
