01/29/2016 McManis Faulkner

McManis Faulkner’s representation of university professors seeking to examine skeletons that are among the oldest human remains ever found in the Americas was featured in the New York Times. The article, titled “Tribes’ Win in Fight for La Jolla Bones Clouds Hopes for DNA Studies” and published on Jan. 29, 2016, quoted Jim McManis regarding the U.S. Supreme Court decision not to review the professors’ appeal. He said, ““It’s a tragedy and a disgrace — a tragedy for science, and a disgrace for the court.” The case was also featured on Law360 on Jan. 26. 2016 in the article “Tribes’ Win in Fight for La Jolla Bones Clouds Hopes for DNA Studies,” which quoted Michael Reedy.
