Jim McManis was interviewed by NBC Bay Area regarding the City of San Jose rescinding the $500 fines issued to residents who allegedly used illegal fireworks. In the interview, titled “San Jose Does About-Face on Illegal Fireworks Citations” and airing on Aug. 9, 2017, McManis described the citations without investigation by the fire marshal as “unfair.”
