January 29, 2019 McManis Faulkner

McManis Faulkner’s Ninth Circuit victory in the case of Dr. Rahinah Ibrahim, a Malaysian national and Stanford doctorate wrongly placed on a “no fly” list in 2004, was the subject of an op-ed piece in The Wall Street Journal on Jan. 25.

Authored by Alex Kozinski, a retired Ninth Circuit judge, the piece argues that Congress should amend the Equal Access to Justice Act following the Ninth Circuit’s decision, to ensure law firms – like McManis Faulkner – get paid for time spent fighting the government in court.
