Michael Warren Comments on Ambiguous Orders on Returning to Work Guidelines

In a recent interview with the Daily Journal, partner Michael Warren discussed the ambiguity facing employers as a result of reopening guidelines that vary among state, local and federal governments. Ambiguous language and variations between jurisdictions have been a problem with which employers are grappling.

Michael explains that these orders do not establish any bright-line rules to offer employers flexibility, but he encourages them to be cautious. He says “I think the approach … is to look at the spirit of the order and what we’re trying to do here. They’re trying to… stop the spread of the virus.”
