A consultant with McManis Faulkner, Ravel is a former chair of the Federal Election Commission (FEC) and the California Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC). She is also a past County Counsel for Santa Clara County. Ravel has tackled regulatory issues, like campaign finance, lobbyist registration and reporting, and ethics and conflicts of interest related to officeholders and public employees. In her trial practice, Ravel handles high-stakes government regulation and litigation matters. She has experience at every level of government, which she leverages to help clients navigate its many layers and functions. Ravel earned her J.D. from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings) (1974) and her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley (1970).
