In a short article in the Northern California Super Lawyers 2025 magazine, partner William Faulkner discusses his unique connection with the San Jose Museum of Art (SJMA).
Faulkner’s parents wrote books on art and home design, so modern and contemporary art have been a lifelong interest of his. With over 30 years of service with SJMA, he has held numerous positions on the Board of Directors, including president, vice president, trustee, and officer. Faulkner acknowledges his involvement with SJMA is a wonderful counterbalance to his career as a trial lawyer.
“SJMA presents trailblazing contemporary art, and engages with and across the diverse communities of the area,” says Faulkner. His favorite piece of art in the SJMA is Hung Liu’s Resident Alien.
McManis Faulkner is also a long-time supporter of local arts and the SJMA. In addition to supporting and attending SJMA-affiliated events, McManis Faulkner has sponsored an exhibition at the Museum each year for over 20 years.
