Khaleed Rasheed started law school at UC Law San Francisco (then UC Hastings) in 2022. He tragically passed away unexpectedly in June 2023. Khaleed was from San Ramon, CA and he was survived by a loving family and close friends.
Before beginning law school, Khaleed worked as a paralegal at McManis Faulkner, where he quickly became a much loved and respected member of the team. He was known for accomplishing the impossible, tackling complex challenges with determination, humility, and heart. One of his professors at San José State University, in referring him to the firm, described Khaleed as the best student he ever had.
In partnership with McManis Faulkner, the Khaleed Rasheed Memorial Scholarship has been established to honor his memory. The McManis Wigh China Foundation of Jim McManis and Sara Wigh has donated $100,000 to fund this scholarship in the hope it will benefit many UC Law SF students for years to come. The $5,000 per year scholarship stipend will support future UC Law SF students who, like Khaleed, earned their undergraduate degrees from San José State University.
Thank you for joining our donor community to honor Khaleed and support future UC Law San Francisco students. Please use the link to learn more about donating to the Khaleed Rasheed Memorial Scholarship – https://law.uclawsf.edu/KRasheed.
As a firm, we would like to preserve the beautiful memory of Khaleed. We will announce the scholarship opening each year and the selected recipient on our firm’s website, so our community and donors may see the difference they are making, just as Khaleed made a difference at McManis Faulkner.
Khaleed’s father accepted a certificate of academic achievement in Khaleed’s name at UC Law San Francisco’s 2025 Commencement Ceremony. This award recognized Khaleed’s hard work, contributions, and place in his class. Watch the recording of the ceremony on YouTube.
