McManis Faulkner Managing Partner Elizabeth Pipkin has been selected among the “Top Women Lawyers,” an annual list published by the Daily Journal, California’s largest legal newspaper. The feature recognizes the top 100 women lawyers in California who have made a difference to their clients, their firms and the legal profession. This marks Pipkin’s fourth straight year on the list and sixth appearance overall; she was previously selected in 2015, 2020, 2023, 2024 and 2025.
In its coverage, the Daily Journal notes Pipkin’s 25 years of experience have earned her recognition as “one of California’s foremost trial lawyers in technology and trade secret litigation.” As proof points, the profile notes her recent work focused on the local procedural complexities in two class actions against Google that resulted in $345M in compensation to California plaintiffs and a win for an international solar panel manufacturer, litigation that spanned state and federal courts and arbitration.
In addition to serving as McManis Faulkner’s managing partner, Pipkin represents companies and individuals in a wide range of disputes, including those involving technology, trade secrets, complex commercial issues and civil rights matters. She is currently a member of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California’s Civil Local Rules Attorney Advisory Committee, a body of five attorneys that assists the Court in evaluating potential local rules changes. In 2024, she began serving on the Court’s Standing Committee on Professional Conduct, and she recently co-chaired the Ninth Circuit Lawyer Representatives Committee for the Northern District. Pipkin is the past president of the Board of Trustees for the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley, overseeing the organization’s various social justice initiatives in the community. She is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Harvard Law School Association of Northern California. Pipkin received her J.D. from Harvard Law School (2001) and her B.A. from Brigham Young University (1998).
