McManis Faulkner has contributed to the San Jose Museum of Art (SJMA) Exhibitions Fund in support of “Motherboards.” The artwork, on display until January 10, 2027, explores the foundational contributions of women’s work to the technology industry.
Per the SJMA: “From the first human computers and programmers, to the women working at electronics factories in Silicon Valley and beyond, to today’s global network of ghost workers, women have been deeply involved with the technologies that undergird our daily lives. Yet their contributions are often left out of official histories of technology.”
McManis Faulkner has been a long-time supporter of the SJMA. In addition to supporting and attending SJMA-affiliated events, McManis Faulkner has sponsored an exhibition at the Museum each year for over 20 years.
