UC Law Journal hosted its 2025 Symposium, “Chronically Online: Social Media Content Moderation’s Struggle with the First Amendment.” The all-day symposium featured panel presentations that discussed new laws and challenges pertaining to online content moderation, ethics, the First Amendment, and free speech on social media. The function took place at the University of California San Francisco campus on February 20, 2025, with McManis Faulkner as the Premier sponsor.
One of our UC Law SF alums, Miriam Pieters, returned to campus to make a few remarks before the keynote speaker. UC Law Journal board member, Hannah Lauchner, one of our past summer associates, and future fulltime associate, also attended the symposium.
