Partners Tyler Atkinson and Brandon Rose, and Associates Abimael Bastida, James Giacchetti and Hilary Weddell have been named to the Northern California Super Lawyers 2018 Edition – Rising Stars.
Northern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars, a Thomson Reuters rating service and publication, is a listing of outstanding lawyers, from more than 70 practice areas, who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. To qualify, attorneys must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. The objective of the selection process is to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that may be used as a resource to assist in the search for legal counsel. Recognizing the premier up-and-coming attorneys in the region, approximately two percent (2%) of the Northern California Bar received this distinction.
Atkinson represents individuals, closely held businesses and Fortune 500 companies in a variety of civil cases and complex disputes. He received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame Law School (2008) and his B.A., with honors and Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of California, Santa Cruz (2004).
Rose represents individuals in family law matters, including marital and domestic partnership dissolutions, separation disputes, domestic violence, and child custody, visitation and support. He earned his J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School (2009) and his B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles (2004).
With experience as both plaintiff and defense counsel, Bastida represents individuals, small businesses and corporate entities in a variety of civil matters. He received his J.D., with a High Tech Law Certificate, from the Santa Clara University School of Law (2014) and his B.A. from Santa Clara University (2011).
A member of the firm’s Employment Law Team, Weddell utilizes her business acumen to counsel and represent clients ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies in a wide variety of industries. She received her J.D., cum laude, from the Boston College Law School (2013) and her B.S., Business Administration Honors Program, from San Jose State University (2008).
