McManis Faulkner congratulates partner Brandon Rose for his naming to the inaugural “Top Family Lawyers” list by the Daily Journal, California’s largest legal newspaper. The list recognizes the top California family law lawyers who have made a difference to their clients, their firms and the legal profession.
In its coverage of the honor, the Daily Journal commends Rose and the firm’s Family Law Group for taking on cases that other law firms decline, noting that clients are often referred to McManis Faulkner from other firms that are unable to handle contentious, difficult matters. Regarding McManis Faulkner’s diverse practice group offerings and cross-disciplinary experience, Rose says, “It gives us a competitive advantage in dealing with anything that might happen.” The profile describes three recent trials in which Rose played a significant role, including one in which he defeated a husband’s attempt to claim millions of dollars earned from sale of a jointly owned business were his separate property.
Chair of McManis Faulkner’s award-winning Family Law Group, Rose is a certified Family Law Specialist by the State Bar of California. He handles complex family law matters, resolving property and business disputes, as well as contested child custody and support issues. Rose is a member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association Family Law Section and served on its COVID-19 Taskforce, which sought to improve legal operations during the pandemic. He serves as a Judge Pro Tem for the San Mateo County Superior Court’s “Divorce in a Day” Program, which helps self-represented litigants obtain a judgment of divorce or legal separation. Rose has been named a “Rising Star” by Northern California Super Lawyers magazine from 2017-2020. He received his J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School (2009) and his B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles (2004). Between college and law school, Rose taught English in Japan.
