Vanessa is a consummate professional. She leads the firm’s marketing department with strength and grace.
She oversees and implements the firm’s marketing programs and business development and public relations initiatives, keeping firm lawyers abreast of current trends and strategies in legal marketing. She serves as event coordinator for all firm events and manages the firm’s social media presence and website content, including the McManis Faulkner Blog.
In her role, Vanessa communicates with lawyers, firm, staff and vendors, leveraging her marketing communications skills both internally and externally and ensuring the “why” behind a request is conveyed and understood. She also assists with the firm’s non-profits and community involvements.
For over 10 years, Vanessa has been an active member of the Bay Area chapter of Legal Marketing Association (LMA), and as a reflection of her active involvement and influence, she was named LMA Bay Area Member of the Year in 2021. She is a dedicated member by serving on committees such as Silicon Valley In-House Counsel Summit, panels, and attending the organization’s annual conference.
Vanessa is an active alumna with the Kappa Delta sorority at San Jose State University, and supporter of the California Bay Area Chapter of The Pajama Program, which organizes and delivers new pajamas to local children and teens. She’s also known to have a soft spot for animals. She is a member of the California State Horseman's Association (CSHA), serving on the board for the association’s Bay Area Region. She recently found a new passion: donating time at the local animal shelter and walking large dogs on weekends.
