Tianqi’s practical business experience and international legal experience have fed his passion for justice. From a young age, Tianqi worked for his family’s business where he observed and experienced the difficulties of running a small business in a highly competitive market during multiple periods of economic uncertainty. These experiences give him a deep understanding of the struggles facing entrepreneurs and businesspeople, particularly those from immigrant communities.
Tianqi served as a summer intern for two different law firms in China, gaining valuable insight into the complexities of operating a business in a foreign regulatory environment. He was involved in matters related to a wide range of subjects, including arbitration in Hong Kong, cross-jurisdictional rules regarding professional responsibility, purchasing agreements, foreign direct investment, and he assisted in the development of a Foreign Corrupt Practices Act case database.
Tianqi is conversationally fluent in Mandarin. He enjoys the arts, both as a musician and an amateur audio engineer.
